361 runners completed the 7th Kirste 5, 20 of whom were CPJ. On what was one of the hottest days of the year, there were no PBs, but great performances by all to complete the race. Derek Page was the first CPJ finisher, crossing the line in 49th position in a time of 39.04. There was an on-going battle over the whole race to be the 2nd CPJ finisher, and Mike Hopkins just managed to break away from Colin Dunn, finishing in 66th position in 40.17, with Colin close behind in 68th in 40.52. Anne Hoeb was the next CPJ and first CPJ Lady to finish, coming home in 83rd in 42.45.

CPJ were also out in force to support the runners and marshal for the event. Led by Mike Hayward, Karen Sweeney, Nicola Walker, Richard Moore, Cliff King, Helen Walker, Nigel Horobin and Albert Miles were there to cheer, encourage, and point in the right direction!
