‘Rochford & Castle Point Sports Club of the Year 2016’

Welcome to one of the friendliest running clubs around. We are based at Hadleigh & Thundersley Cricket Club, John Burrows Park in Hadleigh, Essex. The club was founded in 1975 and now boasts over 160 members. Everyone male or female, over the age of 17 is welcome to join us.

We have members from Southend, Basildon, Leigh on Sea, Canvey, Benfleet, Rayleigh, Wickford and further afield.

Whether you are training for a marathon, charity fun run, or just want to get a bit fitter, and don’t know where to start. Maybe you already run, but alone. Why not give us a try?

Castle Point Joggers is the club for you. We are a very friendly bunch of runners/ joggers. We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 at Hadleigh & Thundersley Cricket Club. Please see the map on the contact page for directions.

We always make sure if you are a newcomer or lady that you are never left to run alone. There will always be a group for you to run with. We have a wide range of abilities from sub 3 hour marathon runners to 75 minute 10k runners.

Our annual membership fee is only £30 which includes £15 levy to England Athletics. Or £15 if you choose not to affiliate, but if you do you will save £2 every time you enter a race. The annual membership fee includes free refreshments on a Tuesday evening, a chance to gain a place in the London Marathon*, and a free summer BBQ (*must be EA affiliated)

The club organises the Legacy 10k which takes place in January over the legendary Hadleigh mountain bike course.

If you would like to find out more you are welcome to pop in and say hello on a Tuesday evening or see our list of FAQs and info in the documents above, or you can always drop us a line at info@castlepointjoggers.co.uk if you have any questions.

We meet at 7.15pm for a 7.30 start.

All new runners are encouraged to join in with whatever suits them.

If after a few outings you find you like us, then you would be invited

to become a member.
